Plan Premium Country USA Device Roku Premiere (3920X, 7th Generation) Operating System Roku My Question or Issue Over the last few days, I have been unable to launch Spotify on my Roku Premiere. I click on the app icon on the Roku home screen, and it just sits on the Spotify logo screen indefinite. Select the Spotify app, then select add channel. After adding the Spotify channel, either log in to your Spotify account or create a new free account. If you have a Spotify account, log in with a PIN. Go to spotify.com/pair on a computer that's logged in to Spotify, then enter the code displayed on the Roku screen. I tried installing the Spotify app on my Express+ (3910RW), Roku software version 9.0.0 build 4142-51. The app worked fine. Later, I tried to use the YouTube, Prime Video, Hulu and Xfinity Stream apps. Launch the Roku app, and then tap on the Channels option on the bottom. Tap on the Channel Store option, and then tap on the search icon on the top right-hand corner. Type in Spotify in the search bar, and then tap on the Spotify Music selection. Finally, tap the Add option. The app should be.
We have been a Spotify paying customer for longer than I can remember and I think we have dutifully purchased roku devices since generation 2. We have three operating currently (2 x Ultra and 1 x 4). While much of the Roku is running nicely, the Spotify app really is in a class I would describe as 'Painful'. Audio continually sounds like it is coming out of a tin can (in a 5.1 system it is as if the center channel is the only speaker playing and is inside a trash can). Reboots do not solve the issue, nor does pulling the HDMI and reconnecting. Takes forever to have playlists come up and often they just cycle as if they are looking for your content and you get the added bonus of having a 1 in 4 chance of getting nothing from the app at all for playback as some process in the background is loading playlists that never show up. It has gotten so bad that we have moved a VERY inferior sounding Amazon Alexa downstairs to the main family room and no longer touch the Spotify on Roku.
Please Update and fix the App. None of us care if this is Spotify's problem or Roku's. You both advertise that these devices are Spotify compatible so someone fix it. It shouldn't matter if you are connected to a receiver or to just the TV..This needs to work. For now it is broken.
As we look to improve the overall Spotify experience, we removed our app from Roku TV systems on December 22nd, 2017. We hope to have a better version of Spotify on these devices in future.
Yes, the Roku channel is gone. For the pursuit of providing better experience, Spotify removed its app from Roku TV systems last December. No any indication, no timescale about how long users have to wait to its back, just a short notice listed above, which brings Spotify users with a terrible mood. If you search for the Spotify relevant forums with phrase like 'Spotify on Roku', you'll probably find that most people complain of this decision, and wait for the new version:

Right now the offline support is available in Sweden but other have reported that the option is also available in other countries as well.Spotify is a music podcast with video streaming service, it is available in smartphones and in popular wearables such as Gear S3, AndroidWear smartwatches and Apple Watch. But of course we expect that it will be available also to Android Wear in the coming months, and also for Apple Watch, that according to Spotify is already in the works.
